If you haven't already, start thinking about the type of promotion you will run in your shop. It could be free shipping, buy one/get one free, a percentage off, really anything you choose.

Quiltsy May Daze Promotion May 10 - 16

We will be running a Scavenger Hunt / Word Scrabble Game in our shops the week of May 10-16.

Participating team members will be listed in the QuiltsyTeam shop during the promo so that game players can easily access their shops. Pam will be choosing quilty words and phrases for the scrabble part of the game, and shops will hide a designated symbol with one letter in a picture in their shop. The letter will be hidden in one of the side listings of an item, not the main picture to make the hunt a little harder. Players will find the letters by searching through our shops, put them together into words/phrases, and convo their guesses to the QuiltsyTeam shop(no quiltsy team members or their families may play). Winners will be drawn from the correct answers and prizes will be given.

Participating shops also run some kind of Promotion in their shop during this week, and Advertise the Scavenger Hunt on their blog, twitter, etc.

Shops that want to participate convo QuiltsyTeam by 4/1 with your commitment
[commitment means you will run a promo of your choosing during May 10-16, and that you will donate an item of no more than $10 to a gift basket. You will also hide a letter in one picture slot of one item in your shop.]

ForQuiltsSake will do the graphics for the letters & convo them to each participating shop. She will contact Pam for phrases (Pam will develop phrases after 4/1 participation deadline)

Lovebug will write an article for the Storque. She needs pics of donated items from each participating shop by 4/5. Pics should be on a white background. Donations can be listed with "Reserved for May Daze winner," or they do not have to be listed on Etsy at all. This is the shop owner's choice.

DebiDesigns will decide who sends donation to whom and will convo each participating shop with the info.

As AndrusGarden said in our forum thread: "... sounds like lots of fun, and a great way to get people poking in the corners of our shops."

Quiltsy Team Chat and Update on Swap Blocks

I heard a rumor in the forums, that our swap blocks are in the mail right now, on their way to us. No, really, this is straight from a post by Pam. Yay, Can't wait to get them!

Secondly, we will be having a team chat in the virtual labs on Sunday, March 22, at 4 p.m. EST. (The time listed on the virtual labs calendar has already been adjusted for your time zone.)

We will be discussing the upcoming Quiltsy Shop Hop Promotion, among other things. Hope you can be there.

Quiltsy Shop Bunny Hop

Calling all quiltsy members - are you interested in doing an Easter promotion? Debi and BonBon came up with a great idea for a spring promotion, and we want to see if we have enough shops interested to do it up in a big way! In order to participate you will have to donate an item for under $10.00, run an in-store promotion, and promote our shop hop in the forums, your blog, twitter. etc....

Let us know quickly because we want to get this going for Easter - the first 16 people to convo the Quiltsy Team Shop will be featured in a special treasury! This is not a commitment to participate, just a show of hands to see who is interested, after the team chat we will confirm who for sure wants to participate and get going!

Disclaimer*** the Quiltsy Bunny Shop Hop is not for sure the name of this promotion, just what we are calling it at the moment! We'll talk about that in our team chat.

Block Swap Update

Wow! The Quiltsy swappers are a great group. All of the participants have updated me with their status and I am just waiting for the last packages to arrive! I am impressed with the way this group has committed to the task and completed it as agreed - everyone has been very nice in thanking me, but thank each one of you for making the task easy and nonstressful for me! I know you all can't wait to see the blocks, but I am holding off until they all arrive, so at least you can know that not even I have looked at them yet! I will let you know as soon as they are here, and will put up pictures and get them all out in the mail.
