WiP Wednesday #38

I finally have something in progress to share, this week! WHOO! Ok, it's not much, I'll admit. I've been playing around with cross stitching this week. Nothing life changing, but it is relaxing. I picked up a tiny frame for all of $0.40 at a thrift store, and thought this would be a sweet design for it.

The frame needs to be repainted to cover some flaws, but it's tiny. I'm hoping for a quick project. (Famous last words, I know.) How about you guys? Do you ever need to take a break from quilting and just do something that's quick? I find it saves me from burn out. Anyone else cross stitch? I'm an extreme newbie - this is my first project, so I'm kind of nervous about sharing it, even though it's very simple. (Maybe because it's very simple?)

Hope you're all having a wonderful week! Thank you for tuning in and linking up. Okay, link up those WIPs! Just link up any post from the past week featuring a work-in-progress. Please link back here to the Quiltsy blog and comment on other links. Thanks!

WiP Wednesday #37

That's right, it's time to share our Works In Progress (WiP)! I have none to speak of this week, to share. Holiday pressures and so on. So I'm going to brag on you guys and share what you linked up with last week.

Terry Aske is working on an art quilt that's thoroughly beautiful. It's hard to believe it's a quilt and not a photograph. See what I mean?

Char from Cloth Stitched shared some seriously cute things she's working on for a bazaar.

Fabric Fascination shared a finish as well as a useful binding tutorial. Check it out:

Happier Than A Bird put together a stunning bag using an Amy Butler pattern. LOVE these colors together! What a fun finish.

Carol, at Happy Turtle (one of my favorite blog names of all time), took on one of my favorite blocks. It also happens to be a block that truly intimidates me. How about a hand for her skill and her bravery on taking on something new? Isn't this beautiful?

Thanks so much for tuning in this week, guys. I'll try to have some progress of my own to report, soon. I hope you all have a happy and fun Thanksgiving. :)

WiP Wednesday #36

Welcome to this week's Work In Progress (WiP) link party! As usual, I'm Jerimi, here to share the love of projects in all stages of done-ness.

To be honest, most of my progess this week has gone to redesigning my website.

I also have a cute new logo that I'm pretty proud of. I'm not a graphic designer, but I think it's an ok logo.

I wish I had more to report, but mostly I've been playing catch-up on things like, you know, laundry. :P Lots of things got neglected while I was banging out product for the craft show.

So that's enough about me. Now I'm going to brag on you wonderful, talented people.

Sweet Dreams by Sarah has been cleaning like a fiend, and also recovering from a craft show. She took the time to share a couple of cute swoons with us.

Char from Cloth Stitched shared some crocheting (which I can't do at all!) as well as some fun table runners. I love the stippling on these!

Lindsey from Happier Than A Bird (LOVE that blog name) shared several lovely projects, including one that involves handwork.

Terry Aske shared her design wall with us. She has a few projects she's working on, including this bit of gorgeousness:

And Patsy from Seams About Time was good enough to talk half square triangles with us. Isn't this just darling?

Thanks so much for tuning in this week.

WiP Wednesday #35

Well, the show at the Eagle Holiday Bazaar went beautifully! We met so many fantastic people, and heard a gazillion great cat stories. It was a win/win.

This week I'm frantically job hunting. The company that holds our biggest contract got bought out, and so that income will go away the first of March, so.... I'm not sure how much progress I'm going to make on the crafty side of things. Guess we'll see. :)

You guys, though, were really busy last week!

Terry Aske showed true dedication, and posted even though she was at the International Quilt Market and Festival. How cool is that? Her work always blows me away. Check this out.

Sew Fun Quilts shared some zipper bags she's working on (with a little help from her kitty). Stinkin' cute!

Char from Cloth Stitched shared some sweet mini journals, as well as a table runner.

Ann of Magpie Quilts shared some really cute string-pieced work, as well as a mini tutorial for how to do it. I pinned it to give it a try later one. These mugrugs are perfect gems:

Dawn Stewart of Spring Water Designs managed to combine a UFO with a WiP. I'm impressed! Her work is just beautiful. I mean, look at this:

Persimon Dreams shared her progress on the Craftsy Block Of The Month. I love these colors together, and it's paper-pieced, to boot. Too much fun!

Thank you so much for dropping by, and thanks to everyone who participated. You do good work.
