Show Us Your Face!

Because it was so much fun seeing everyone's beautiful smiles the other day i created an group on Flickr that we can use to put our pictures on, so that we can put faces (and names!) to our usernames on Etsy. This account will be for Quiltsy members only, and in order to join you will have to add at least one of the four coleaders to your contacts. We can then invite you to join the group.

I have made this a private account so it will only be viewable to members. In addition most of us may choose to make the pictures we add to this group viewable to friends only so you will want to start going through the various members and adding them to your contacts and marking them as friends.

It's not terribly complicated, I am just learning the ins and outs of flickr myself and I have managed, so I am confident that you all can also! All members of the Quiltsy team are welcome to join, and I look forward to seeing your smiling faces!

Another YouTube Video, and You are Invited

Hi team,

I would like to make another youtube video of our team, but this time I would like to add a picture of the quilter, and then their quilted creation. For example, it could be Monika from Quiltlover with her truck, or PostCard Lady in her crafting space, or someone else working on a quilt. I think it would be interesting for the viewer to see the artist as well as their art.

I know some of you are saying, "you'll never get my face on the internet!" That is why I wanted to see how many of you are interested before I start anything. Of course, if you are shy, you could show yourself from a distance or creatively crop the picture so you aren't really recognizable.

Anyway, if you would like to be in this video, please leave a comment here and I will convo you with more information.

Meet the QUILTERS Videos

The Second Video - Meet the Quilters II:

Don't forget to watch it in high quality, there is music so crank up the volume.

If you are a member of the Quiltsy team, and would like to be included, please convo me. I have not left out anyone intentionally, so don't be shy, just ask!

I have been thinking of doing a Quiltsy Team video for a few weeks now. I know nothing about this, but have been talking to people who do, and tonight produced my first video, and got it up on YouTube.

Please be sure to watch it in high quality or it will be blurry:

Hope you enjoy it!

And the Award for Smallest Studio goes to...

Who else? Postcardlady! Barbara lives in central west florida, about as far away from Quilt lover as you can get and be in the USA.

She lives in a tiny travel trailer about 10 x 28.
In her own words:

"The bedroom had 4 bunk beds, I took out one set and put a folding table in for my machine, and have stacks of clear tubs for fabric etc. all around." "I store my made items and some supplies in the top bunk over mine." "My kitchen table is also my cutting table and shipping department."
"I am a proud mother of one daughter, I have 2 grand daughters, and one great grand daughter. I have retired, except I work part time 16 hours a week at a pest company.

I enjoy designing and creating, sewing and quilting. When I made gifts for family and friends, they asked me to make gifts for their friends. I am so happy to be able to share what I love to do with folks online.

I am known at the local shows as "The Postcard Lady." I am also a member of the local quilting guild here, and have taught some classes on making quilted fabric postcards. I love playful art."

Wasn't that a neat studio tour? She may qualify for the largest studio also, because her whole house is her sewing space! Check out her darling work, it's no wonder she makes such cute little cards working in her cute little space.
