Well - we finally had SNOW on Long Island! It started overnight, but by the time 6:30 am rolled around, the snow had turned to sleet and rain. Now we have lots of slush. Not so great. And definitely not so great if the temps drop again tonight and all this becomes ice.
Here some beautiful quilteds to browse through on this January day. Please

wonderful items these talented Quiltsy Team Members make!

My mother and I make up the
Olive Street Studio design and sewing team. I cannot remember my mom
NOT sewing or quilting. Since 2003, we've made chenille and cotton baby
quilts, baby gift sets, little girls dresses and skirts. In 2013, we
expanded into Home Decor quilts and after getting requests for even
bigger quilts, we're working on larger quilts too. Then, with extra
time, because we all have extra time, ha ha, we also make reversible
tote bags, smaller handbags, and zipper pouches. I joined
the Quiltsy Team on Etsy in 2010.

Quiltsy Team Great Finds: 1-17-15
Winter is here, but where is the snow? I know many don't like snow, but I love it.....as long as I can stay in the house and watch it fall with a nice big mug of hot chocolate. I like hibernating - and not having to go out means I get to work on stuff around the house and SEW!
The Quiltsy Team is in the midst of a fun team event - a mug rug swap. Those participating get paired with another and each makes a mug rug to send to the other. No pictures are exchanged so it is a surprise package! If you're not familiar with "mug rug" it is like a large coaster, but smaller than a placemat. It typically it can fit a mug and a small dish for a snack. Mug rugs are inexpensive ways to add something fun to your decor. Since this is going on, I decided to feature some mug rugs available from some Quiltsy Team members.

Quiltsy Team Great Finds: 1-11-15
What a cold morning it is here in downstate New York. The arctic air
mass is really doing its job. I'm sure the polar bears are happy and
to tell you the truth, I'm happy winter is "winter". I'd really love a
huge snow storm though....a nice 36" to keep me hibernated. Thinking of
winter, I decided to feature winter from this week's batch of shops.

Quiltsy Team Great Finds: 1-4-2015
Happy New Year!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Years!! Are you ready for 2015?? Did you make any resolutions? One thing I wanted to accomplish early in the year was a sewing-room-overhaul, and I'm happy to say, as of yesterday, it is done. I'm now "ready" to tackle new projects in the new year. :-)
Maybe Santa or Hanukkah gifts didn't bring you everything you hoped for? Why not treat yourself to something......
Please CLICK ON the team link to see more!.....and now, please welcome.....

Carol from Village Quilts out of Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada:
Moran from Moran Art and Quilts out of Columbus, Ohio:
Charmaine from Cloth Stitched out of Hatfield, Pennsylvania:
