"The school encourages children to pursue their innate curiosity," Pam explains. "Children are our future and not all learn by traditional methods. It's the kind of school I wish I'd been able to go to when I was that age."
Even though she didn't have the kind of early education that encouraged her innate curiosity, Pam certainly followed her heart's desire to pursue the fabric arts.
"I made my first quilt 15 years ago, all by hand. While I enjoyed the process, it sure took a long time. Since then, I've made almost 500 quilts, all but the first one with the sewing machine. I've been making quilt art full time since 2007."
Pam, who has been a member of the Quiltsy Team so long that she remembers being part of the discussion to find a name for the team, shares that her favorite things to make for her Etsy shop, ForQuiltsSake, are one-of-a-kind art quilts. The piece she is donating is certainly a great example of her love for her craft.
