Quiltsy Cares - Pamela Boatright of PamelaQuilts

I am Pamela, and for some reason I ended up signing up for my donation on the day I was scheduled to blog as well!  So I suppose I get to interview myself for the post today - should be interesting...

My name is Pamela Boatright.  I live in Coos Bay, Oregon and I have been a member of the Quiltsy team since it began in 2007.  I am currently serving as team captain and really enjoy this group of supportive and fun quilters!  I have been quilting for about 30 years now, after being introduced to the fun of it by a good friend.

For my donation this year, I wanted to highlight my local charity quilters - Quilts for Giving.  This group grew out of the local quilt guild.  They have made thousands of quilts to donate in our local area over the 20+ years they have been active.  These quilts are given to children in the hospital, people in hospice care, to the police department and children services to comfort children in need.

I am donating a fun quilt that would be perfect for a little boy.  It's a lot of fun to put these together with a variety of fun prints and tie it all together with a great border print.  This is one of my favorites!  I love knowing that my quilt will go to a local child and comfort them when they need some extra love.

My Etsy shop is PamelaQuilts.  Today is actually the 10 year anniversary of  my opening it!  I love making everything in my shop, but I think my favorite thing is my journal covers.  They are definitely a lot of fun to put together.  I like to post about the things I am sewing on Facebook and Instagram as well so you can keep up with what's new!

Thanks so much for reading along, I hope you are enjoying our posts!  Our quilters are not only talented, but they are generous and loving and it is a pleasure to be able to share with our readers.

You did a very good interview of your self! Lovely quilt and charity.

I didn't even know Etsy existed 10 years ago so congratulations on being an early adapter and paving the way!
