Quiltsy Cares March 2-Pamela Boatright from PamelaQuilts

Today's Quiltsy Cares team member is Pamela Boatright from Pamelaquilts. Pam's donation is for CASA of Coos County. She says her county sadly has a large number of children in foster care, and the members of her Quilt Guild have been challenged this year to help support those children by providing quilts to comfort them. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate-these volunteers speak for and support children in court situations. So far they have donated 51 quilts for the program, which have been very appreciated.

When these children come into foster care, many times they have very little other than the clothes on their back. A special quilt to cuddle with can help make their transition easier and help them feel loved and cared for. Although she has never fostered a child, several of my close friends have and she knows how difficult it is for them. so Pam was delighted to donate a quilt that she made.

She donated this fun little quilt in a winter theme. Snow is always a fun thing there because they don't get much of it! Though the quilt says "BRRR Snow", Pam hopes it will warm a little heart and they will know that they are loved.
