Quiltsy Cares March 26-Jane Weier



Our Quiltsy Cares member today is Jane Weier of MulberryPatchQuilts. Jane is from Madison, Wisconsin.

This year (besides making finished blocks for the Thomas Mudslide/Fire Victims, and an item for auction to benefit a local Youth Symphony), this quilter got into knitting…must be their cold Wisconsin winter months!  She had heard on the local news that the American Heart Association was sending out a call to celebrate National Heart Month by collecting red baby hats for delivery to newborns and preemies in their local hospitals this February. It touched her heart, and Jane knew she needed to find some red yarn, knitting needles, and get to work. You can see the resulting hats in the photo.
