Quiltsy Cares March 29-Stephanie Hateley

Today's Quiltsy Cares donation comes all the way from Tasmania, Australia by Stephanie Hateley of StephsQuilts. Stephanie's charity is Karina Young Mums and Bubs. The program provides intensive case management and accommodation to young pregnant women and young mums in Launceston, Tasmania aged between 15 and 19 years of age who have limited family support and are homeless, or at risk of homelessness.

Stephanie said she thought it would be terrifying to be homeless with a baby at such a young age, unloved and unwanted. The quilts let them know that they are not alone and they are wrapped in love.
The quilts donated are from cot to bed size, and each girl gets one quilt.

Stephanie belongs to an online quilt group an Facebook (Tassie Quilters) and she put out a call to them for this charity. The results was a pile of quilts in the photo-19 quilts in all and some of them are absolutely according to her.

These 2 photos are are quilts that Stephanie donated.
