Quiltsy Virtual Craft Party

Every year Etsy holds a Craft party, which is a really fun thing for teams that are location based to get together for a time of making things.  This year their theme is Kaleidoscopes.  Since the Quiltsy team has members that are all over the world and we can't really all meet in one place I thought it would be fun to have a virtual party.  And to make it even more fun, we'll make it a challenge so that we can all make a kaleidoscope inspired quilt and share it with each other in a fun online show.  And have some fun prizes for the winners to make it even better!

One Block Wonder by MiniMade
There are lots of patterns that could work for this challenge, including a One Block Wonder like the one above, Winding Ways, Kaleidoscope....it's up to you to find the one that inspires you!

Here are the rules:

1) Make a quilt of any size that is inspired by the kaleidoscope theme.  Your quilt may be made in the next month, or you may enter a quilt that you have made within the last year.

2) Your quilt must be finished and a photo of your quilt added to the link-up provided on memorial day (May 25).

3)  Commit to send a fat quarter to the quilt that gets the most votes in our contest.  (I am planning a couple of additional fun prizes as well to the runner-ups...)

Hope that sounds simple enough!  The idea is to have fun and create something that makes you happy - you can sell it in your Etsy shop, give it as a gift to someone, or just keep it for yourself!  Let me know if you blog about your project, and I'll post a link on our blog so we can have ourselves a month long quilting party!  Use the hashtag #quiltsycraftparty to share on social media and spread the word!

Have fun, and quilt up a party!
