One of the highlights of our month of Quiltsy Cares post is seeing the different ways our members make a big difference in their communities. Today's quilter is Karen - her shop is
Monkey Muffin. Here is what she has to say about her donations:
My name is Karen and I live in Sioux Falls, SD.
I am fortunate to belong to a group that serves the needs of the Lakota people of the Pine Ridge Reservation in southern South Dakota. 97% of the families of Pine Ridge live below the poverty level. Unemployment is 85%.
This year, I was able to provide 24 pillow cases as well as school supplies, art supplies, and books to the children of Pine Ridge.
